Yea, I know…

I start this blog in January and I've been MIA since post one. I'm sorry. I've been really busy with school and a new company. I'll explain all of it in a long email…big things are happening!

Until then, check out this video I made. Last week Ohio University students finally got a Chipotle after 3 years of asking for one. Their grand opening was supposed to be Friday April 4th, however, they decided to give out a free burrito All Day Long April 3rd, as a huge opening surprise.

Talk about good marketing. They broke 2 records.

1) 921 burritos served in an hour
2)Over 7,000 served in a day

ALL FREE!

That's like a $35,000 gift!

The line for place was insane…It was around the block for atleast 7 hours. I had to make this video because I couldn't believe how many people would wait for over an hour for a burrito.

It also made me think about what Gary Vaynerchuk means when he talks about giving away free content. If you don't know Gary, check out www.winelibrarytv.com and watch as much as you can!

Gary is a Wine Cone suer who has a well known video blog called The Thunder Show. He does daily video where he tastes different wines from around the world.

Sound Boring?

He's a charismatic, over-the-top New Yorker, and he's one of the most entertaining people on the Web! He utilized Social Media and Social Networking to become an online celebrity.

So how does this tie in?

Gary spoke at a marketing conference and told us that giving value to your audience was key to building your brand online.

He offers free shipping world-wide from his Wine Library in New Jersey! He definitely practices what he preaches.

Not only that, but out of the thousands of emails he gets every day…He answers everyone and is tight with all of his fans.
